Role Summary and Impact

This role is within The Goat Agency, a leading brand within WPP Media, where you will be instrumental in helping global brands harness the power of social and creator-led content to deliver measurable impact. Recognised as a global leader in the space, we deliver award-winning campaigns in more than 70 countries. With over 650 social natives worldwide, we create ambitious influencer programmes from tactical activations to long-term partnerships, designed to drive awareness, engagement and conversions across the full marketing funnel.

Skills and Experience

Insight Generation & Analysis

  • Conduct sound and confident analysis of campaign data, competitor performance and consumer sentiment.
  • Transform complex data sets into clear, compelling stories and strategic recommendations with minimal supervision.
  • Utilise advanced features of our data platforms to find innovative ways to visualise and present data.
  • Ensure the highest standard of accuracy and attention to detail in all analytical work.

Project & Stakeholder Management

  • Take ownership of specific analytical projects, from initial data gathering to final report delivery.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, providing data-driven guidance and solutions for campaigns.
  • Confidently communicate findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders.

Mentorship & Best Practice

  • Act as a role model for junior team members, providing guidance on analytical techniques and best practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the team by staying updated on new platforms, tools and methodologies and making recommendations for their implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Advanced Data Operations & Governance

  • Manage complex configurations within our campaign tracking documents to meet bespoke campaign requirements.
  • Act as a steward for data governance, actively monitoring and enforcing consistent naming conventions and reporting formats across all campaigns.
  • Confidently write and adapt a wide range of formulas and scripts as needed to support data management and reporting tasks.
  • Ensure campaigns are created promptly on our proprietary platform, proactively following up with stakeholders to gather any missing information.

Process Improvement & Troubleshooting

  • Proactively identify process pain points and inefficiencies, recommending and implementing robust improvements to enhance our data workflows.
  • Investigate and resolve complex and less obvious data issues, demonstrating a deep understanding of their root cause and how key metrics are calculated.
  • Utilise our admin interface to support data management and troubleshooting tasks.

Platform & Application Expertise

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on our core analytics applications (Benchmark Index, Performance Analyser, Deliverables Calculator), supporting the wider team with queries and issues.
  • Confidently navigate our BI tool, independently building complex queries and customising dashboards to meet business needs.
  • Identify and implement improvements to our internal applications to enhance functionality and user experience.

Collaboration & Mentorship

  • Act as a key support figure and escalation point for junior members of the team, providing guidance on complex tasks and sharing your knowledge.
  • Communicate effectively with all relevant teams to ensure action points are resolved in a timely manner and data processes run smoothly.

The Ideal Candidate

  • A strong interest in consumer behaviour, social media, creators, culture and emerging trends.
  • Curiosity and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to look beyond surface-level observations and consider why something matters.
  • Some experience conducting desk research, competitor analysis, social listening or campaign reporting.
  • An ability to turn research and information into clear, concise and engaging stories.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with a willingness to build confidence in presenting findings.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets; experience with social listening, research or audience intelligence tools would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • A proactive, collaborative and solution-focused approach, with a willingness to ask questions and learn.
  • No advanced coding, scripting or complex data-modelling experience is required.
