Senior Executive Officer

SALARY: PS4 (35-37) £46,142 - £48,226

Based at one of the following locations; Helygain, Conwy, Bangor, Llandrindod, Aberystwyth, Dre Newydd + Hybrid working

This is an exciting opportunity to join the North and Mid Wales Trunk Road Agent (NMWTRA), working closely with senior leaders to deliver strategic projects, drive improvement, and support the management of one of Wales’ most important transport networks.

The Senior Executive Officer will play a key role in performance management, governance, business planning and stakeholder engagement, helping to shape the Agency’s future and deliver meaningful change across North and Mid Wales.

QUALIFICATIONS AND RELEVANT TRAINING

ESSENTIAL

  • Degree and/or equivalent professional/managerial qualification.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL

  • Experience of project management
  • Experience of producing high quality documents (including reports to various forums and committees, discussion papers/evidence and reviews) and ensuring that they are suitable for internal and external audiences.
  • Develop and deliver business cases.

DESIRABLE

  • Financial modelling and/or analysis.
  • Experience of working within a managerial area

SKILLS AND SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE

ESSENTIAL

  • A sound understanding of the Council and the Agency structure and arrangements
  • Ability to represent the Head of Service and the Agency Senior Management Team in internal and external meetings
  • Interpersonal skills and being able to work with all levels in the organisation.
  • Project and Program Management.
  • A solid understanding of change management and the ability to influence and manage stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills: oral, written and presenting.
  • Advanced level computer skills, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerBI, Power Point, Outlook.
