What you’ll do

As a Senior Experience Strategist, you’ll lead the strategic direction for our retail and spatial projects. You’ll combine deep insights into human behavior and brand goals to shape customer journeys, inspire creative teams, and guide clients toward impactful real-world experiences.

  • Lead research into consumer behavior, spatial trends, and retail environments to uncover insights that drive design concepts.
  • Map out end-to-end customer journeys that seamlessly connect physical, digital, and sensory brand touchpoints.
  • Partner closely with 3D designers, creative leads, and architects to turn strategic ideas into buildable, engaging spaces.
  • Craft compelling stories and presentation decks that clearly explain the vision and win client buy-in.
  • Develop strategic briefs that inspire award-winning creative work and stand-out physical experiences.
  • Write clear experience frameworks, spatial briefs, and point-of-view pieces for pitches and new business opportunities.
  • Act as a trusted partner to clients, helping them see new possibilities for their physical stores and brand spaces.
  • Mentor junior strategists and designers, offering day-to-day guidance to help them grow their skills.
  • Manage direct reports through regular check-ins, honest feedback, and career development chats.
  • Keep projects on track strategically while keeping an eye on timelines, targets, and project scopes.
  • Use AI tools in a smart, creative way to speed up research, find inspiration, and sharpen insights.

What you’ll need

  • Proven experience in experience strategy, retail planning, or spatial strategy.
  • Strong skills in running qualitative research, competitor audits, and analysing physical site behaviours.
  • A clear understanding of customer journeys and how people naturally move through and interact with physical environments.
  • Natural storytelling skills with the ability to turn raw data and research into simple, inspiring strategic narratives.
  • Confidence leading client conversations, presenting big ideas, and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • A collaborative mindset and experience working side-by-side with 3D designers, spatial teams, and external specialists.
  • Passion for retail design, hospitality, environmental branding, and emerging consumer behaviours.
  • An eye for how digital technology, lighting, and materiality enhance physical brand spaces.
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior team members with a focus on supportive leadership.
  • Familiarity with research tools, strategic mapping frameworks, presentation tools (Keynote/PowerPoint), and AI-driven insight software.
