SENIOR EXPORT ACCOUNT MANAGER - HULL 55K
Are you an experienced export professional with a strong understanding of international logistics, export documentation and customer account management? We are recruiting for a Senior Export Account Manager to join a successful international manufacturing business. This is a varied and hands-on role where you'll take ownership of established customer relationships across the UK and European markets, working closely with production, technical and operations teams to ensure exceptional customer service and continued business growth.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys combining commercial account management with practical export and logistics expertise.
Responsibilities
As Senior Export Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing key customer accounts, distributors and agents across multiple international territories. You'll play a key role in maintaining existing business, identifying opportunities for growth and ensuring smooth delivery of products worldwide.
- Managing and developing customer relationships across UK and international markets
- Negotiating pricing, payment terms and delivery agreements
- Coordinating export shipments and resolving international logistics challenges
- Preparing and overseeing export documentation and invoice processing
- Working closely with production, technical and operational teams
- Producing monthly sales reports and annual budgets
- Managing one direct report within the sales office
- Supporting and developing relationships with agents and distributors
- Identifying opportunities to increase revenue across existing accounts
- Travelling internationally to visit customers, agents and distributors

What We're Looking For
Essential
- Previous experience in export sales, export account management or international customer management
- Knowledge of export procedures and international logistics
- Experience producing export documentation and shipping paperwork
- Commercial awareness and strong negotiation skills
- Excellent relationship-building and customer-facing experience
- Ability to work across departments and manage multiple priorities
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering or technical products
- SAP experience
- European language skills such as French, German or Spanish
- Experience managing or mentoring colleagues
