About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Facade Specialist to join a client-side development and delivery team responsible for the design and construction of major projects across London. This role is ideal for an experienced facade professional who enjoys being involved in projects from a strategic and technical perspective, working closely with architects, consultants, contractors, and specialist suppliers to ensure high-quality facade solutions are delivered from design through to completion. The successful candidate will bring strong Stage 4 and Stage 5 experience, a detailed understanding of facade interfaces, and a proven background working with complex facade, cladding, and curtain walling systems.
The Role
You'll act as the facade expert across multiple projects, supporting the technical development and delivery of building envelope packages while ensuring design intent, buildability, performance, and compliance requirements are achieved. Working closely with project teams and external consultants, you'll provide technical leadership throughout the detailed design and construction phases, helping resolve complex interface challenges and driving quality throughout the delivery process.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the design and delivery of facade packages on complex development projects.
- Review facade, cladding, and curtain walling proposals throughout Stages 4 and 5.
- Manage and coordinate interface design between facade systems and the wider building structure.
- Provide technical input during design reviews, workshops, and project meetings.
- Coordinate architects, consultants, contractors, and specialist subcontractors.
- Review technical submissions, drawings, specifications, and construction details.
- Monitor design quality, compliance, and buildability throughout project delivery.
- Support project teams during construction, installation, and commissioning phases.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks associated with facade and building envelope systems.
Requirements
- Extensive experience within facade, cladding, and curtain walling design and delivery.
- Strong Stage 4 and Stage 5 project experience.
- Proven interface coordination experience across complex developments.
- Excellent technical understanding of building envelope systems and construction methodologies.
- Experience working with architects, consultants, contractors, and specialist suppliers.
- Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and current facade legislation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience working on large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
- Knowledge of the Building Safety Act and Gateway process.
- Experience reviewing contractor design packages and technical submissions.
- Familiarity with BIM and digital project delivery processes.
