House of Bruar
House of Bruar is an award-winning luxury retailer in Scotland, renowned for offering its customers a quintessential Scottish experience. Still family-owned, we have a passion for premium natural fibres and rich, evocative colours, and our photography is central to how our customers discover our collections.
We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Fashion Stylist & Art Director to join the Creative Team at our main site in Blair Atholl. Reporting directly to the Creative Director, you will lead the styling and art direction of our seasonal fashion photography, from the first mood board through to the final shot. If you have a strong eye for clothing and colour, and the organisation to run a busy shoot on a Highland hillside as confidently as in the studio, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Our Creative Director has a background in Savile Row tailoring, and we have found that this is an advantage to understand how textiles sit on the body to create great shots. Commercial awareness is also key to the role, artistic vision with a commercial filter.
The Role
- Styling menswear and womenswear for seasonal campaigns, catalogues, e-commerce, and marketing photography.
- Art directing studio and location shoots, directing photographers, models, and hair and make-up teams.
- Developing Spring/Summer, Autumn/Winter, and Christmas concepts and mood boards with the Creative Director.
- Planning each shoot, including schedules, running orders, shot lists, model casting, and location scouting across Scotland and further afield.
- Preparing clothing, accessories, and props, and styling on set with close attention to fit, proportion, colour, and layering.
- Running shoots day to day and making sure daily photography targets are met.
- Adapting quickly to changing weather, locations, and product availability.
- Working with the Product Development team to identify the key products and stories for each campaign.
- Supporting the Creative Director with collection development, including fabric, colour, and trim selection.
- Keeping our imagery consistent and recognisably House of Bruar, while making it feel fresh each season.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
