About Us

At BPA, we’re proud to be jointly owned by BP and Shell - two of the world’s leading oil majors - which gives us the strength and stability of industry giants. Yet, with a close-knit team of around 180 professionals across the UK, we maintain a genuinely friendly, supportive, and collaborative environment. Our size means every individual is valued, and we work together as one team -sharing knowledge, supporting each other, and celebrating our successes collectively. This whole-team focus allows us to deliver industry-leading hydrocarbon transport and storage solutions, while providing the personal touch that only a united team can offer!

Our People

What sets BPA apart is our people. We are committed to the development and growth of everyone in our team. Our leadership are invested in ongoing training, professional qualifications, and mentoring to help staff reach their full potential. For example, we offer regular technical training, support for gaining industry-recognised certifications, and opportunities to take on new responsibilities or lead projects. By encouraging continuous learning and providing clear pathways for progression, we ensure that everyone can enjoy a rewarding career and, together, deliver outstanding technical advice and services to our clients.

Role Purpose

BPA manages a portfolio of downstream energy assets, including pipelines, storage facilities and distribution terminals, supported by maintenance and capital projects that protect integrity, safety and operational capability. The Senior Project Engineer (C&I) will provide dedicated Control & Instrumentation discipline capability within the FEED team while leading and managing FEED-stage engineering projects for BPA operations and external clients.

The role is accountable for clear scope definition, robust technical inputs and high-quality, execution-ready FEED deliverables. It coordinates multidisciplinary contributors, budgets, schedules, risks and stakeholders to deliver safe, efficient outcomes to programme, quality and commercial targets.

FEED Project Delivery

  • Manage FEED projects ranging from small single-discipline studies to large, multi-discipline EPC-style FEED projects, typically in downstream oil and gas brownfield environments.
  • Take accountability for end-to-end delivery, from initial approval through to execution-ready FEED handover.
  • Lead scope definition, assumptions, interfaces and change control, with clear progress reporting and visible management of cost, schedule, quality and risk.
  • Own technical delivery within the C&I discipline across multiple FEED scopes, ensuring C&I inputs are coordinated, reviewed and suitable for project handover.
  • Close out FEED and study reports to agreed client expectations and support the team in regaining control of outstanding deliverables.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
