About David Collins Studio

David Collins Studio is an internationally renowned luxury interior design and architecture studio, established in 1985 and based in London. We work globally with leading luxury and heritage brands, as well as a select group of private clients who share our commitment to craft, detail and refinement.

The opportunity

We are seeking a Senior FF&E Designer to lead the day-to-day delivery of multiple projects from concept through to handover, alongside an ID team. You will set creative direction for FF&E, plan resources and programmes, build trusted client relationships and ensure quality, budget control and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead concept generation and scheme development for FF&E that responds to the brief and the studio ethos.
  • Curate and specify finishes, sanitaryware, hardware and ironmongery, compiling clear schedules and specifications.
  • Plan team workloads and deliverables, guiding drawing production to studio standards and templates.
  • Chair internal design reviews and communicate ideas persuasively with clear visuals and documentation.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, consultants and local authorities; chair meetings and issue minutes and actions.
  • Set and manage FF&E budgets, approvals and value engineering strategies; flag risks early and propose solutions.
  • Maintain quality control through regular site visits; track progress and resolve issues promptly.
  • Oversee installation, dressing and final styling to ensure the design intent is delivered on brief.
  • Identify scope changes, communicate implications and support fee or programme adjustments.
  • Mentor and develop designers at different levels; delegate effectively and provide constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to studio knowledge sharing, initiatives and pitches; act as a positive ambassador for the brand.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
