About the Company
We are recruiting a Senior Field Service & Commissioning Engineer to join a global aviation equipment and technology organisation, supporting complex technology deployments across an international airport customer network.
About the Role
This is a highly autonomous, hands-on position combining field engineering, IoT, software configuration, electrical/electronic systems and technical troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support complex technical installations and commissioning projects internationally.
- Commission connected equipment and support successful system go-lives.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across hardware, electronics, IoT, connectivity, networks and software.
- Configure software according to customer requirements, operational data and integrations.
- Work hands-on with electrical/electronic systems, wiring, testing and connected equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Act as a senior technical escalation point for field and installation teams.
- Train customers, partners and internal teams.
- Support site audits, proof-of-concept projects and technically complex deployments.
- Provide technical feedback to Product and R&D teams to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications
Approximately 5–10 years' experience in field service, commissioning, technical support or a similar engineering environment.
Required Skills
- Strong installation, configuration and commissioning experience.
- Technical knowledge across IoT, electronics, electrical systems, networks and connected equipment.
- Experience with software configuration and embedded electronics integration.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
- A practical, hands-on approach and confidence working directly with equipment and wiring.
- Comfortable working autonomously and travelling internationally.
- Strong customer-facing and communication skills.

Preferred Skills
- Previous airport or GSE experience would be advantageous, although technical depth and strong field-service experience are the priority.
- Languages: French-speaking candidates: English required. English-speaking candidates: Spanish required. Additional languages would be advantageous.
