Senior Finance Analyst

As a Senior Finance Analyst, you'll provide detailed financial analysis, forecasting and commercial insight to support strategic decision-making, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive business performance.

Description

  • Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, delivering clear commentary and actionable insights.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning activities.
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis, KPI reporting and performance tracking across the business.
  • Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Partner with operational stakeholders to evaluate financial performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Analyse trends, risks and commercial drivers to support revenue growth and profitability.
  • Produce high-quality reporting and dashboards for senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve financial processes, systems and reporting capabilities to enhance efficiency and data quality.

Profile

The Successful Senior Financial Analyst Should Have

  • Previous experience in a Financial Analyst, FP&A, Commercial Finance or Management Accounting role.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning processes.
  • Proven ability to perform detailed variance analysis and present financial performance trends to stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems and reporting tools.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
