About The Role

SLAMcore is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Finance Analyst to join our Finance team. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in a broad, high-exposure position that spans the entire finance cycle. As a Senior Finance Analyst, you will be instrumental in driving financial planning, analysis, and reporting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial insights for strategic decision-making. You will play a key role in supporting AI and automation initiatives within the finance function, helping to streamline processes and enhance data-driven decision-making capabilities. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Bookkeeper, interact with the VP of Finance, and work with senior leadership to support the company's growth and financial health. This position is ideal for a finance professional eager to develop finance transformation skills within a technology-driven environment that emphasizes innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in finance, accounting, or related fields
  • Proven experience in financial analysis and reporting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline required; a master’s degree or relevant professional certifications such as CFA or CPA are highly desirable
  • Excellent analytical skills, proficiency in financial modeling, and experience with automation tools and AI-driven financial systems
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Prior experience working in technology or SaaS companies is a plus
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive financial analysis, including variance analysis, forecasting, and budgeting to support strategic planning and operational decision-making
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards
  • Drive automation initiatives within the finance function by leveraging AI tools and developing automated workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights
  • Support the development and maintenance of financial models to evaluate business performance, investment opportunities, and cost optimization strategies
  • Participate in the implementation and improvement of financial systems, processes, and controls to enhance data accuracy and operational efficiency
  • Work closely with the Bookkeeper to ensure accurate record-keeping and reconciliation of financial transactions
  • Assist in the preparation of audit documentation and liaise with external auditors as needed
  • Contribute to company-wide initiatives aimed at financial transformation and digital innovation
