whynow currently represents several major artists for merchandise, runs an award-winning production company, and operates four online media brands reaching millions of fans a month. Our brands include Great Big Story, Rock Sound, and Film Stories.
We partner with renowned musicians including Tina Turner, The Kinks, and Mick Jagger to manage their e-commerce operations, creating tailored products enhancing the fan experiences.
At whynow Studios, we produce premium factual programming for platforms such as Discovery+, ITV, and the BBC that cover everything from country music through to Coco Chanel to Worthing FC.

Role Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Finance Analyst to join our finance team. In this role, you will support key financial planning and reporting functions, helping leadership make informed business decisions through accurate data analysis and strategic insight.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes
- Monitor financial performance against targets and investigate variances
- Build and maintain financial models to evaluate business scenarios and investment opportunities
- Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and analysis
- Assist in the preparation of board and executive-level presentations
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency

Qualifications
- Part qualified or actively working towards finance qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or a similar role
- Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with accounting systems (e.g., Xero, Quickbooks) a plus
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker a plus
- Solid understanding of relevant financial reporting standards (UK GAAP, FRS 102, IFRS)
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
- Experience working in the music industry, media industry, or merchandise industry
- Interest in music and media
