THE ROLE:

We’re looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to deliver accurate, timely reporting and insightful analysis that supports informed business decision-making. Working closely with Finance and key stakeholders, you’ll help drive performance through clear technical insight, continuous improvement of reporting processes, and a strong focus on data integrity and commercial value. You’ll also play an important role in mentoring junior team members, fostering development, and leading by example in a collaborative, high-performing environment.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Responsibilities cover four key areas of Estates transactional accounting;

    • Contractual and Turnover Rent
    • Service Charges
    • Rates
    • Landlords Insurance
  • Accountable for ensuring the calculation and posting of accurate transactional level data for the four Estates areas

  • Liaise and support Financial Accounting Manager with timely and accurate IFRS16 accounting

  • Full understanding of the terms and conditions of the CVA and its requirements (i.e. monthly turnover statements)

  • Full understanding of the business channel direct report is responsible for

  • Full understanding of trading and non-trading operational costs budgets and forecasts to inform identification of risks and opportunities

  • Employ a thorough knowledge of trading and proactive review of costs to identify risks and opportunities

  • Accountable for reviewing and developing best processes with Finance for accurate, timely transactional level posting in order to minimise rework at period end

  • Responsible for accurate working papers to support accounting entries providing accurate month end reporting, including balance sheet reconciliations

  • Accurate month end cost reporting and variance analysis for business channel, providing detail and clarity on monthly cost variances

  • Support the FBP in the creation of budgets and forecasts, including the impact of FYE and one-off costs

  • Preparation of balance sheet review, including commentary on key areas of the balance and reason for movement

  • Supporting with year end Group and statutory audits, answering queries on business channel

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Ability to de-mystify financial performance and provide clear and concise reporting and analysis resulting in balanced guidance and judgement
  • Ability to work under own directive as well as the wider team
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel
  • Continued re-evaluation and development of financial reporting and analysis
  • Open and receptive to new ideas and concepts
  • Relevant practical experience gathered across a range of roles in a broad profit-driven business context
  • A part qualified/qualified accountant who understands the financial implications of decisions and can make sound recommendations accordingly
