An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Finance Analyst - Cost Cap to join the Jaguar TCS Racing department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment.

About the Role

A key role within the Finance team, ensuring the financial integrity and compliance of the Formula E team with cost cap regulations, whilst also supporting Fortescue Zero to balance this effectively with the goals and objectives of motorsport racing.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the collection, validation, and auditing of cost data from all departments contributing to cost-cap expenditure.
  • Develop, maintain, and refine internal cost-tracking tools, methods, and controls to ensure accurate and timely financial submissions.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of all mandatory FIA cost-cap documentation, declarations, and end-of-season reports.
  • Ensure transparent governance and readiness for FIA audits and reviews.
  • Work closely with the Formula E team and other internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with the cost cap regulations set forth by the FIA.
  • Stay abreast of the latest cost cap regulations and guidelines, ensuring that all financial practices align with the governing body's requirements.
  • Monitor and analyse team expenditure, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and identifying potential cost overruns.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, bridging the gap between racing goals, wider business goals and compliance requirements.
  • Support the monthly reporting process of Fortescue Zero, catching discrepancies and investigating key variances in a timely manner for the Formula E projects, improving data quality for cost cap compliance purposes.
  • Provide guidance to the internal team on financial best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Support the budget and forecasting process for the Formula E projects, identifying ways Fortescue Zero can best track against cost cap requirements, identifying issues and resolving them quickly

About You

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with adequate post qualification experience.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, challenging norms and driving new ideas.
  • Proficient with ERP systems and Excel, interrogating data and unravelling transaction trails to problem solve.
  • Experience in audit (statutory or internal) would be helpful in this role but is not critical.
  • Experience in the motorsport industry would be advantageous but is not essential.
