About the Role
We are currently looking for a highly analytical and forward-thinking Senior Finance Analyst to join our EU Stores Finance team, partnering closely with Amazon’s Category Leads to lead and manage strategic, financial, and operational plans.
The Senior Finance Analyst will contribute to all controllership functions including financial reporting, planning, control and analysis to service our customers. In this role, you will partner with the commercial and other cross-functional teams (retail category management, fulfilment and transportation, marketing, accounting and tax to deliver growth and financial commitments.)
Through insightful and data-driven analysis, you will lead growth and profitability improvement initiatives and work with the cross-functional teams to understand and boost the key drivers of the business.
Role can be also based in Lux, Paris, Madrid or Munich
Key Job Responsibilities
- Contribute to reporting, planning and analysis of key P&L metrics and develop in-depth understanding of drivers of change;
- Provide decision support analysis using underlying data and identify areas of risk & opportunity for the business;
- Support internal customer groups in all finance and accounting matters including budgeting, forecasting, expense tracking and control.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field, or experience in relevant finance roles
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- Experience in forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and interpreting financial results
- Experience using financial models, KPIs, and data analysis to inform business decisions with proven business impact (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
- Experience in commercial finance business partnering or FP&A
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree (MBA or related discipline)
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent)
- Knowledge of financial reporting tools (Cognos, Redshift)
- Experience developing financial models in Excel with advanced functions (pivot tables, macros, VBA, Power Query)
- Experience with data analytics platforms (Power BI, Python, SQL, Tableau)
