What to Expect
As a Senior Finance Analyst, you will be overseeing all aspects of the financial business case for specific vehicle programmes. Managing, reporting, and challenging Engineering, Design, Launch, and Vehicle Line Delivery teams to optimise the return on investment. Working closely with the teams who design, develop, and deliver our future luxury performance vehicles.
This role will also support the Cost Engineering Team and Purchasing function for new programme Bill of Material, meaning this has a very broad reach across our business and the ability to really impact our investment returns.
What You'll Do
- Lead Business Partner for vehicle programmes, working closely with Programme Management, Functional Engineering, Design, Launch, Commercial, Cost Engineering, and Purchasing to manage performance against programme targets throughout the programme gateways from concept to production.
- Supporting the approval of budgets at shareholder level and driving accountability at budget holder level.
- Managing budgets for Function Groups across Engineering and Purchasing, ensuring appropriate level of approval is obtained for capital spending and bill of material cost status.
- Delivery of month-end results across areas above, including consistent and insightful reporting to directors, contributing to the monthly management accounts commentary.
- Challenge stakeholders to drive accountability, as well as providing them with the tools necessary to track progress against their financial targets and most importantly, allow them to keep within agreed budgets.
- Stimulate and deliver process and efficiency improvements.
- Preparation of programme key performance indicator reporting across all aspects of programme profitability and presentation to senior leadership.
- Preparation of monthly internal forecasts and quarterly forecasts for input into the wider business.
- Responsibility for accurate forecasting and reporting of all spend, including insightful comparison to previous programmes to ensure we get best value for money. Control and maintain live register of risks and opportunities.

What You'll Bring
- Qualified Accountant or equivalent (ACCA / ICAEW / ICAS / CIMA).
- Experience in managing and developing reporting, comfortable with large volumes of data.
- Strong system skills including SAP and MS Office, particularly Excel (Pivot tables, vlookups, Power Query, etc).
- Demonstrate a continuous improvement approach to work, including but not limited to, identifying areas for process improvements and implementing robust solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills coupled with the ability to build strong and lasting relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Time management and organisational skills, with an adaptable and flexible working style.
- A self-starter who can work independently with minimal support but can also work in a team environment.
- Able to work under pressure yet deliver on time with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Confident in questioning the validity of information and in offering ideas and solutions.
- Demonstrate an ability and desire to progress through business.
- Ability to work with and influence colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
- Passion for the automotive industry.
- Persistence and drive to get the job done.
