Syntro Partners is working with a fast-growing, acquisitive UK business to recruit a Senior FP&A Analyst into its expanding FP&A team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys the analytical side of finance. The role will sit at the heart of the FP&A function, working with large volumes of financial and operational data to understand what is really driving performance and turn that into clear, actionable insight.

Rather than being a heavily relationship-led business partnering role, this position is focused on high-quality analysis, reporting and data. You will work closely with the wider FP&A and business partnering team, providing the insight behind commercial decision making.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyse financial and operational performance across a multi-site business
  • Develop and maintain KPI reporting, dashboards and management information
  • Use Power BI to create insightful, engaging reporting
  • Work with large datasets to identify trends, risks and opportunities
  • Get behind headline performance to understand underlying business drivers
  • Support the wider FP&A and business partnering team with high-quality analysis
  • Partner with the data team to improve reporting quality and accuracy
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activity
  • Undertake ad hoc analysis around acquisitions, strategic projects and business improvement initiatives
  • Help improve and automate reporting processes

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
