Job Description
A bit about the team and what you'll deliver...
We’re looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to join our Finance team and play a key role in helping Trustonic understand, manage and optimise its cost base.
Working closely with the Head of Commercial Finance and teams across the business, you’ll bring greater visibility and control to our costs, provide meaningful financial insight, and partner with budget holders to identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
This is a great opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys getting into the detail, challenging the status quo, and turning financial information into a clear story that helps the business make better decisions.
As the Senior Finance Analyst, you will:
Cost control & commercial insight
- Own the monthly cost review cycle, analysing actuals against budget and forecast and investigating variances
- Partner with department heads and budget holders to understand and challenge spend, identify savings and efficiency opportunities, and track agreed actions
- Develop driver-based cost models to support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning
- Build and maintain cost KPIs and dashboards, providing visibility of trends, run-rates, and the impact of cost initiatives
- Turn detailed financial information into clear, commercially relevant insight for stakeholders

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
