Role Overview

This role is responsible for managing day-to-day transactional finance processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities. You'll support the smooth running of the finance function by ensuring accurate processing, reconciliations, and timely financial administration across the business.

Description

The key responsibilities of this Senior Finance Assistant role will be:

  • Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Managing supplier queries and assisting with invoice reconciliations
  • Supporting payment runs and maintaining supplier records
  • Raising sales invoices and allocating incoming payments
  • Assisting with credit control activities where required
  • Reconciling bank accounts and finance transactions
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month-end processes
  • Providing general administrative support to the finance team

The successful Senior Finance Assistant should have:

  • Strong knowledge of accountancy principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy environment.
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with team members and stakeholders.
  • Experience in VAT returns and financial reporting within the Media & Agency industry.

Job Offer

The successful Senior Finance Assistant will receive:

  • Hourly rate between £18.00 and £24.00, dependent on the level of experience.
