Why London Business School?

London Business School; a global and vibrant business community based in three of the world’s most dynamic cities, London, Dubai and Riyadh. It’s where extraordinary minds and diverse perspectives connect, to have a profound impact on the way the world does business and the way business impacts the world. We offer best in class hybrid learning to our students and participants, whilst creating a flexible, supportive and dynamic working environment for our people to excel in, whatever their location.

The Role

London Business School is looking for an experienced and commercially minded Senior Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team.

Working within Financial Planning & Analysis, you will provide a full finance business partnering service to key operational and commercial functions across the School. You will play an important role in supporting strategic and operational decision-making through insightful analysis, robust forecasting, high-quality reporting and trusted financial advice.

As a senior member of the FP&A leadership team, you will work closely with senior stakeholders across the School, including the CFO, Deputy CFO, senior leadership colleagues, Finance leaders and wider management teams. You will lead the coordination and delivery of long-term plans, annual budgets and periodic forecasts, while ensuring business stakeholders are fully engaged and supported.

This is an opportunity to contribute directly to the School’s medium and long-term strategy by helping colleagues understand performance, identify opportunities, manage resources effectively and make well-informed decisions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Act as a senior member of the FP&A leadership team, providing financial insight suitable for senior executive audiences.
  • Lead the coordination and delivery of long-term plans, annual budgets and periodic forecasts, ensuring strong engagement with business stakeholders.
  • Provide day-to-day financial support to senior managers, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of revenue, costs and performance.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning, scenario analysis and business case development.
  • Support new initiatives, commercial opportunities and strategic projects through high-quality financial advice and analysis.
  • Manage a small team to ensure high-quality analysis, reporting and workload delivery.
  • Partner with relevant areas to understand their business goals and provide professional advice, technical expertise and financial information to support effective decision-making.
  • Extract, check and analyse data from multiple sources, producing reports that inform review, planning and management decisions.
  • Liaise across Finance and the wider School to prepare complex reports and support cross-functional planning.
  • Provide advice on policies, procedures and compliance requirements, supporting monitoring and assurance across the School.
  • Monitor work delivered by third-party suppliers and agencies where relevant, ensuring agreed service levels and quality standards are met.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the School and represent Finance on cross-School groups where required.
  • Lead or support projects within your area of expertise, ensuring delivery within agreed budgets, quality standards and timescales.
  • Contribute to process improvement by reviewing best practice, analysing business models and helping develop policies, processes and systems.
  • Champion change by role-modelling expected behaviours, advising on change programmes and supporting successful implementation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
