Senior Finance Business Partner (CAPEX)
Location: Hounslow, London (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
Pay: Up to £500 per day (via Umbrella)
Contract: 6 Months
About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to join their Expansion Capital Business Partnering team on a 6-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile capital programme, partnering with senior stakeholders to provide financial insight, challenge strategic decisions, and support major investment initiatives.
This role is ideal for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys influencing business decisions, developing financial models, and delivering meaningful analysis that drives long-term value.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to provide financial insight and support strategic decision-making.
- Review and challenge project costs, identifying opportunities for efficiency and value creation.
- Develop and maintain robust financial models to evaluate investment options and business cases.
- Perform investment appraisal, benefits tracking, and financial analysis for capital projects.
- Benchmark financial and operational performance against comparable organisations and industry standards.
- Influence commercial and strategic decisions by balancing financial performance with operational objectives.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, ensuring finance is central to key business decisions.
- Support the identification and mitigation of financial and commercial risks.
- Deliver high-quality reporting, forecasting, and financial planning to support programme delivery.

About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Significant Finance Business Partnering experience within large, complex organisations.
- Strong experience supporting capital investment programmes or major infrastructure projects.
- Excellent financial modelling and investment appraisal skills.
- Proven ability to influence senior non-finance stakeholders and challenge decisions constructively.
- A strong commercial mindset with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), or Part Qualified with substantial Qualified by Experience (QBE).
- Previous people management or leadership experience is desirable.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

What's on Offer?

- Hybrid working – 3 days onsite in Hounslow, London and 2 days remote.
