Senior Finance Business Partner - Permanent
Home Counties - Predominantly Remote - Local Government - £46,000 - £52,000 DOE
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join a well-regarded Local Authority in the Home Counties.
This is a highly visible role supporting senior leaders across a broad range of local government services and directorates. With responsibility for two direct reports, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality financial management, strategic advice, and business partnering across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic financial advice and challenge to senior managers and directors.
- Lead on budget setting, financial planning, forecasting, and year-end processes.
- Support decision-making through insightful financial analysis and reporting.
- Business partner with services across all directorates.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of two finance professionals.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and transformation initiatives.

About You
- CCAB qualified (CIPFA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or Qualified by Experience (QBE).
- Strong financial management and business partnering experience.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience of budget monitoring, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Previous local government experience highly advantageous
