Senior Finance Business Partner
PE-Backed Healthcare Business | London (Hybrid - 3 days in office) | £75,000-£80,000 base
About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join a fast-growing, PE-backed healthcare business at an exciting stage of its journey. This is a pivotal role for someone who wants to sit at the intersection of finance and the commercial business, translating numbers into decisions, and decisions into numbers. Reporting to the Finance Director and leading a team of two, you'll be the key commercial representative for finance across the business, trusted by operational and commercial leaders as their go-to partner for insight, challenge, and support.
What You'll Do
- Act as the primary finance point of contact for commercial and operational teams, building strong, credible relationships across the business
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for your business areas, translating performance into clear, actionable insight
- Partner with commercial leads on pricing, contract terms, and investment decisions, bringing a rigorous, margin-aware perspective to the table
- Own reporting and analysis of key commercial and operational KPIs, ensuring leaders have what they need to manage their areas effectively
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of two, building their technical and commercial capability
- Support the Finance Director on ad hoc strategic projects, business cases, and board-level reporting
- Help embed scalable financial processes and controls appropriate to a growing, PE-backed business

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
