£80,000 + £5,000 bonus + benefits

We are delighted to be working with an established and highly successful technology business to help them find an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to support their Commercial Team.

The Role

This is a highly commercial finance position, partnering closely with sales, senior leadership, and operational teams to provide financial insight and challenge across high-value and complex commercial opportunities.

You will play a key role in shaping deal strategy, pricing, and profitability, ensuring that opportunities are commercially robust and deliver long-term value. You will also provide financial leadership across bids, tenders, renewals, and major proposals, translating complex financial information into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys being close to the business, influencing decisions, and working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a senior finance partner to the sales function, providing commercial insight on complex and high-value opportunities.
  • Lead the financial input into bids, tenders, and major proposals.
  • Provide guidance on pricing, deal structure, profitability, and commercial terms.
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial and commercial models.
  • Support renewals and retention activity, balancing competitiveness with margin and profitability.
  • Work with internal teams to develop and embed effective pricing methodologies.
  • Ensure commercial models are robust, consistent, and deliverable.
  • Drive consistency across deal modelling, pricing, and cost-to-serve frameworks.
  • Support and strengthen sales governance processes and provide commercial approval in line with agreed frameworks.
  • Develop sales budgets and forecasting models.
  • Improve sales and pipeline reporting, providing insight into performance and variances.
  • Own customer-level profitability analysis and use this to support commercial decision making.
  • Support the design and development of the annual commission plan and ensure processes are accurate and well controlled.
  • Act as a trusted financial adviser to senior stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve commercial finance processes, systems, and governance.
  • Build strong relationships across Finance, Sales, and wider business functions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
