Job Title: Senior Finance Business Partner - Service Finance

Salary: £61,841 - £65,402 per annum
Hours: 35 Hours per Week
Location: Hybrid Working
Team: Service Finance
Type: Permanent

We are looking for a motivated, passionate, and experienced person to join our fantastic service finance team. This is a rare opportunity to help shape the future of local government services while developing your career within a forward-thinking finance team.

As a Senior Finance Business Partner, you will provide strategic financial leadership across our Corporate Services portfolio. You will be working closely with senior managers, directors, and elected members to ensure sound financial stewardship, robust decision-making, and excellent value for money.

  • Champion innovation and modern financial management practices, identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems, and service delivery.
  • Support the organisation through significant change, helping senior leaders navigate financial risks, opportunities, and complexities associated with Local Government Reorganisation.
  • Promote a commercial and outcome-focused approach, ensuring resources are aligned to corporate priorities and deliver value for residents.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
