Senior Finance Business Partner - FP&A

Location: Northampton

At Rodericks Dental Partners, Your Smile Matters Too. We care just as much about our people as we do about our patients. That’s why we’re creating an environment where you can grow, feel valued, and enjoy a healthy work-life balance.

We are looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join our FP&A team; you will be responsible for owning and driving the Group's financial planning and performance reporting cycle.

In this role you will lead the annual budget, reforecasting, long-range planning and Group practice headcount model across our 227 practices. You will be responsible for setting the planning framework, developing robust financial models, challenging assumptions and ensuring that financial plans translate the Group's strategic priorities into clear, actionable financial outcomes. You will own key elements of Board and Executive reporting, providing senior stakeholders with clear analysis of performance, risks, opportunities and the actions required to deliver the plan.

This is a highly visible role, working closely with the Deputy CFO, CFO, CEO, wider Executive team, Commercial FBPs, FP&A, Management Accounts, Power BI team and other senior stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Business Partnering, Commercial Analysis & Modelling: Partner with senior stakeholders to provide financial insight, challenge assumptions and support better commercial decision-making.
  • Forecasting & Performance Planning: Lead the Group's reforecasting cycle, providing a clear and robust view of expected performance and the actions required to deliver the plan.
  • Budgeting & Long-Range Planning: Lead the annual Group budgeting process end to end, ensuring financial plans are aligned with the Group's strategy and operational priorities.
  • Board & Executive Reporting: Own the Group P&L and key FP&A elements of Board and Executive reporting, translating financial performance into clear commercial insight. Working closely with the CFO, CEO and wider Executive team to understand and communicate the financial implications of key business decisions.
  • Practice Headcount & People Cost Modelling: Own the Group practice headcount model, providing a single source of truth for practice workforce planning and people costs across the Rodericks estate.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of 2 in the FP&A team, ensuring high-quality outputs and effective delivery across the planning and performance cycle.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
