We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Finance Business Partner (GCOO).

This is a pivotal role in providing financial analysis, strategic insights, and decision support to drive the bank's GCOO functions. This role combines financial acumen with an understanding of trends and their impact on business operations.

In this role you will:

  • Act as an integral member of the Group Infrastructure & wider FP&A team. You will be expected to specifically collaborate with the GCOO function and be responsible for supporting, Group COO, Business Risk, Resilience and Transformation COO teams ensuring accurate forecast and management information reporting and incisive analysis is produced to aid strategic decision making, and critical prioritization decisions.
  • Work with the GCOO CFO in supporting monthly, quarterly & annual GCOO CTB portfolio reviews, ensuring value streams are delivering against OKRs & robust business cases are produced to drive benefits to the firm.
  • Accountable for making sure GCOO and Finance, partner closely to provide forward-looking analysis on financial performance & work-force planning taking into consideration changes in macro-economic factors to help the business proactively make decisions and take actions.
  • Produce EXCO level cost insight with a clear executive level storytelling on performance, forward-looking outlook, key cost drivers and risks and opportunities to support senior stakeholder decision-making and accountability.
  • Supporting financial forecasting cycles and annual budgeting for GCOO functions and engaging closely with the GCOO COO team on the accuracy of forecasted data. This is integral to being able to make strategic decisions.
  • Support and upskill GFOC support team to promote a continuous improvement environment.
  • As the core GCOO Finance team is small it is key to leverage assistance from the broader Finance community, improve the exiting processes and identify efficiencies to be more effective. As such you will engage with senior stakeholders within both GCOO and Finance.

  • Demonstrable experience of strong business partnering & stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic Financial Reporting experience.
  • Demonstrable experience within Cost Management and/or Cost Analysis.
  • Experience of directing, navigating, inspiring and motivating a team.
  • Collaborative, engaging, credible and methodical; being able to bring the policy, strategy, initiatives and narrative to life (e.g., presenting management information to a wide range of stakeholders/senior management).
  • Experience of building and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders (all levels of seniority, businesses, and geographies)
