Axon Moore is delighted to be partnering with a highly successful, private equity-backed business to recruit an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner. This is a high-profile appointment within a fast-paced, ambitious organisation, offering significant exposure to the executive leadership team and the opportunity to influence strategic decision-making.
You will act as a trusted commercial finance partner to C-suite stakeholders, providing financial insight, challenging business performance and supporting key strategic initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused qualified accountant looking to make a genuine impact within a growing business.
The role offers remote working.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
- Business partner senior leadership and C-suite stakeholders, providing strategic financial support and commercial insight.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning across key business functions.
- Deliver meaningful analysis to support strategic decision-making, investment appraisal and business performance.
- Develop robust financial models to support forecasting, commercial initiatives and growth plans.
- Analyse financial and operational performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
- Challenge assumptions and forecasts to improve decision quality and forecasting accuracy.
- Support the development of business cases for strategic projects and investment opportunities.
- Produce high-quality reporting and presentations for Executive and Board-level meetings.
- Drive continuous improvement across FP&A processes, reporting and planning.
- Mentor and support junior members of the finance team where appropriate.
- Play a key role in finance transformation and wider business improvement initiatives.

The Person
The successful candidate will be:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- An experienced Finance Business Partner, Commercial Finance Manager or FP&A professional.
- Able to demonstrate strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Experienced in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and strategic planning.
- Comfortable presenting financial information to Executive and Board-level audiences.
- Highly analytical with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proactive, commercially minded and confident challenging business performance.
- Experienced operating within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Previous experience within a private equity-backed business would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Strong Excel skills are essential, with experience of Power BI or other reporting tools considered beneficial.
