Senior Financial Business Partner

We're looking for a Senior Financial Business Partner to join our Financial Management Team at an exciting time of investment and growth. You'll proactively shape the financial agenda for the business, partnering closely with senior stakeholders and leading a team, with real scope to influence processes, reporting, and strategic decision-making.

Top end offering on this one is £70,000 - there is no further headroom.

Key Requirements

Essential

  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA), with around 2 years' post-qualification experience as a minimum
  • Management accounting experience in a large, complex organisation
  • Proven track record providing effective financial advice at a senior level
  • Strong financial analysis and process development skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, able to make complex financial issues clear to a range of stakeholders
  • Experience leading a project team, ideally cross-functional
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight, changing deadlines
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, confident with core MS Office tools (Excel, Word)

  • Experience managing a team of Financial Business Partners. This isn't essential the hiring manager is willing to take someone on the basis they could develop into a manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise and challenge budget holders on financial performance, agreeing actions to manage the business effectively
  • Provide best-in-class business partnering, delivering timely, insightful analysis and reporting
  • Own P&L reporting, planning, and forecasting for nominated business areas, ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing team, providing support and challenge as needed
  • Drive innovation in reporting and analysis, including trend and scenario analysis and KPIs
  • Lead on nominated P&L streams to ensure consistently excellent delivery
  • Identify and communicate risks and opportunities to the delivery of the plan
  • Support the training and development of budget holders
