The Role

Location: Hackney, London.
Work arrangement: On-site · Full-time

We are looking for a Senior Finance Control & Admin Manager to lead our Finance & Admin function in the UK. This is a hands-on senior role for someone who is technically strong, analytically sharp and motivated by building structure and improving processes.

You will inherit an established team and existing reporting and control processes. Your role will be to take ownership of the function, ensure strong financial control and continuously improve the way we work.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting

  • Prepare and deliver monthly management reporting, including P&L, Cash Flow, revenue and margins by HUB (team).
  • Validate margin reporting against the consolidated P&L and investigate discrepancies.
  • Review and manage intercompany recharges with other Acierta entities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly reporting.

2. Internal Controls & Governance

  • Apply strong internal control principles across Finance & Admin processes.
  • Identify control gaps, risks and inefficiencies and implement improvements.
  • Lead the monthly close checklist, ensuring AP, AR, payroll, VAT, banking and intercompany activities are completed.
  • Maintain appropriate segregation of duties across the team.

3. Accounts Receivable & Banking

  • Oversee AR ageing, collections and client follow-up in coordination with the HUBs.
  • Monitor bank accounts, cash receipts and reconciliations.
  • Coordinate and authorise payments with the Director.
  • Manage client onboarding on external payment platforms.

4. Monthly Close & Accounting

  • Own the monthly close calendar and coordinate deadlines across the HUBs and Admin team.
  • Coordinate VAT and Corporation Tax filings with the external accountant.
  • Ensure accurate and timely accounting processes and reporting.

5. Team Management

  • Lead and develop the UK Finance & Admin team.
  • Set clear objectives, provide feedback and support professional development.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for the team, resolving issues and making decisions where required.
  • Ensure clear ownership, accountability and collaboration across the function.

6. External Relationships

  • Manage the relationship with the external accountant, reviewing and challenging output where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with the Spain Finance team on intercompany, VAT and cross-border matters.
  • Manage banking relationships and other relevant external financial partners.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
  • 8–10 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Financial Control or a similar role.
  • Professional-level English and Spanish.
  • Experience owning monthly close and management reporting end-to-end.
  • Experience managing or supervising a small Finance or Admin team.
  • Strong experience in internal controls and financial process improvement.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong experience with AR, AP, bank reconciliations, cash management and intercompany transactions.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and a strong ownership mindset.

Desirable

  • Big Four experience in audit, advisory or internal controls.
  • Knowledge of COSO/SOX frameworks.
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS 102.
  • Experience working with external accountants or auditors.
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as Xero, Sage or similar. AHORA would be a plus.
  • Experience in professional services, project-based businesses or luxury retail.
  • Exposure to cross-border or multi-jurisdiction financial operations.
