Job Title: Senior Finance Executive
This is a 9 months fixed term contract for a maternity cover.
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Finance Executive to join our finance team. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting process across the business. You will play an important part in the day-to-day, monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, compliance, and maintaining strong internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements/management account in accordance with relevant accounting standards
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, Bank reconciliations, PPE and balance sheet reconciliations
- Raise and post invoices for revenue/sales transactions, understand how credit/debit notes as well as sales adjustments are accounted for
- Perform reconciliation of sales invoice vs receipt and monitor aged receivables
- Manage the quarterly VAT returns and working directly with our external Tax consultant
- Coordinate with the group team on inter-group transactions and manage the monthly ICO reconciliations
- Ensure accuracy of the general ledger and maintain supporting documentation
- Coordinate with the Dubai finance team and provide oversight of their financial reporting process
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
- Support external audit processes, acting as a point of contact for auditors and preparing required documentation
- Maintain compliance with all financial regulations, internal policies, and tax reporting requirements
- Improve financial procedures and contribute to the development of internal controls
- Support the processing of monthly payroll in collaboration with HR and/or external providers
- Review, process, and reconcile employee expense claims, ensuring compliance with company policy and HMRC guidelines
- Support other ad hoc projects and financial analysis as required

Qualifications
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a financial accounting role as well as Company Tax and VAT submissions
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and familiarity with UK GAAP
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with QuickBooks and OpsPhlo (Acumatica) accounting software is desirable
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Agro commodities hedging is an added advantage
