Senior Finance Manager, EU & APAC

Proclinical Group

Location: London (Hybrid)

Compensation: Competitive Salary + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits

Duration: 12 month FTC (Maternity cover)


About the Role

Are you a qualified finance professional looking for a role that combines strategic influence, international exposure, and leadership responsibility?

At Proclinical, we're seeking an ambitious Senior Finance Manager to oversee finance operations across our growing European and APAC business. This is a high-impact leadership role offering the opportunity to partner with senior stakeholders, develop a talented finance team, and play a key role in shaping the financial performance of a global organisation operating at the forefront of the life sciences industry.

Reporting directly to the Global Head of Finance, you'll provide financial leadership across multiple international entities while helping drive commercial decision-making, operational excellence, and continued business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop the EU and APAC finance team
  • Create a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Monitor team performance and ensure timely delivery of key financial outputs
  • Support succession planning and professional development initiatives

Financial Reporting & Control

  • Oversee the preparation and review of monthly management accounts
  • Deliver insightful analysis on financial performance against budget and forecast
  • Ensure strong control over balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, payroll, commissions, fixed assets, and intercompany balances
  • Produce and review board reporting and management presentations

Commercial Finance & Business Partnering

  • Partner with Country Managers and senior leadership teams
  • Provide meaningful analysis and recommendations that influence business decisions
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow planning
  • Identify key commercial trends and performance drivers across the business

Compliance & Audit

  • Oversee statutory reporting, VAT, tax, payroll, and compliance activities across multiple jurisdictions
  • Coordinate annual audits and manage relationships with external advisers and local finance providers
  • Ensure all regulatory and filing obligations are completed accurately and on time

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee sales ledger, accounts payable, payroll, expenses, bonuses, and commission processes
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance operations
  • Standardise financial processes and strengthen internal controls
  • Lead ad hoc finance projects and business initiatives

Essential Experience & Qualifications

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), or a finalist with strong relevant experience
  • Previous experience in a Finance Manager or similar leadership role
  • Experience supporting multiple legal entities and international operations
  • Strong knowledge of management accounting, financial controls, and statutory reporting
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and variance analysis skills
  • Advanced Excel capability and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information to senior stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Desirable Experience

  • Recruitment, staffing, professional services, or similar industry experience
  • Experience supporting European and APAC entities
  • Knowledge of Great Plains, Bullhorn, RSM InTime, or similar systems
  • Experience using Power BI or other reporting and visualisation tools
