Role Description

As a Senior Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Accounting within Allianz UK, leading the delivery of the Finance Strategy and helping transform our finance operating model. You will work across a broad stakeholder network, driving strategic change, embedding innovative solutions, and ensuring the successful evolution of our Business Process Outsourcing model.

Location: This role is primarily based in our Guildford office, we would also consider candidates who are London based, please note that this is a hybrid working role with the expectation you attend the office 40% of your time.

About You

  • Lead the Accounting workstream within an Allianz Group wide transformation programme, acting as the key point of contact for all Accounting-related matters.
  • Own and drive the Accounting business case, tracking benefits realisation and progress against agreed milestones.
  • Steer and prioritise a portfolio of transformation initiatives across all accounting verticals, including AI-enabled solutions.
  • Design and implement the future Accounting target operating model in partnership with HR, Genpact and Allianz Services.
  • Drive organisational change, ensuring people, processes and ways of working are aligned to the new operating model.
  • Establish and maintain effective governance for offshore accounting operations, ensuring delivery against service levels and quality standards.
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Finance, Operations and wider business functions.
  • Identify and manage strategic risks, issues and dependencies, escalating appropriately and supporting effective resolution.
  • Collaborate with international colleagues and operating entities to share best practice and drive continuous improvement.

Essential Skills

  • Expertise across Finance and Accounting processes, controls and systems.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior leadership level.
  • Experience designing and implementing target operating models.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical and decision-making capabilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience through project, programme or functional team leadership.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within cross-functional and international teams.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience managing outsourced, shared service or offshore delivery models.
  • Experience working within or for the insurance or financial services sector.
  • Professional accounting qualification.
  • Experience working within agile environments or transformation programmes using agile principles.
  • Knowledge of AI tools and their application within Finance and Accounting processes.
  • Experience working with Business Process Outsourcing providers or global shared service organisations.
