VisionFR is excited to be working with a growing creative agency group to find their first Senior Finance Manager to support several of their smaller entities. They are looking for a hands-on, dynamic Senior Finance Manager to oversee the day-to-day financial management and manage a Management Accountant. This role works closely with the CFO. Paprika experience is essential and ideally able to start within 6 weeks. This role requires the Senior Finance Manager to work in the office 3 days per week.
Key responsibilities of the Senior Finance Manager
- Managing weekly cash flow forecasting and credit control, flagging risks to the CFO and founders in a timely manner
- Processing expenses, vendor payments, monthly salaries, and vendor invoicing/statement reconciliations, ensuring correct supporting documentation throughout
- Coordinating with project teams to ensure complete paperwork is received and client billing is issued on schedule
- Managing treasury activities, including UK bank reconciliations and quarterly VAT returns
- Overseeing timely posting of client receipts and vendor payments on the finance system
- Leading weekly pipeline forecast reviews with founders, and managing and developing the Management Accountant
- Preparing monthly management accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations (accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, bank) and variance analysis
- Performing FX revaluations and posting AP/AR FX differences each month, and preparing monthly journals for CFO approval
- Reviewing monthly job profitability and project status with project teams, and reconciling revenue reporting through revenue recognition meetings
- Preparing the monthly management accounts pack for the CFO, CEO, and founders
- Supporting the CFO with quarterly reforecasts
- Supporting the annual audit and R&D tax credit audit processes
- Building effective working relationships across internal teams and identifying improvements to the finance function
- Providing ad hoc reporting as requested by the leadership team

Experience and Skills of the Senior Finance Manager

- ACA / CIMA / ACCA qualified, with 5+ years' experience in a creative agency
- Solid working knowledge of Paprika
- Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles, including GAAP, with the ability to analyse data and prepare reports, statements, and projections
- Experience in production accounting
- Experience managing a small finance team, and working within group/matrix structures, SMEs, and fast-changing environments
- Proven team player who is equally confident working independently or with non-finance staff
- Hands-on approach, with a proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
