Senior Finance Manager

Location: London
Salary: £80,000–£90,000
Working pattern: Hybrid

The Opportunity

We are partnering with a high-growth SaaS technology business that is continuing to scale internationally. They are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Finance Manager to join their growing Finance team.

This is a broad and high-impact role, overseeing financial operations, management accounting, and reporting across multiple international entities. You’ll play a key role in maintaining a strong financial control environment, while also driving process improvement, automation, and greater efficiency across the wider Finance function.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Control

  • Lead the month-end and year-end close process, including preparation of management accounts and Board reporting.
  • Oversee consolidation of global financial results, providing meaningful analysis to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations and oversee technical accounting under IFRS.
  • Support international tax compliance, including VAT, payroll, and employee-related taxes.
  • Support the preparation of statutory accounts and act as a key contact for external auditors.
  • Support the implementation of financial systems and processes for new international entities.

Finance Operations

  • Oversee AP/AR, journals, accruals, and balance sheet activities.
  • Maintain and strengthen the internal financial controls environment.
  • Own monthly KPI reporting across Finance Operations.
  • Oversee payroll controls and relationships with international payroll providers.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and greater use of AI across Finance Operations.
  • Support wider Finance transformation and ad-hoc projects.

Leadership & People

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Finance Operations and Payroll teams.
  • Set clear objectives and ensure resources are effectively aligned across the function.
  • Partner closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, People, and wider business functions.
  • Drive a collaborative, high-performance culture and champion continuous improvement.

About You

We are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with 5+ years' post-qualified experience who combines strong technical accounting knowledge with a commercial and improvement-focused mindset.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience managing accounting and financial operations across multiple jurisdictions under IFRS.
  • Strong financial control, reporting, and management accounting experience.
  • Previous experience leading and developing teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to work with senior leadership.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working within a high-growth technology or scale-up environment.
  • Experience within a Series C–E business or similarly complex international organisation.
  • Experience with Workday.
