Senior Finance Manager

Our client, a boutique financial services firm, is looking to appoint an ambitious, commercially-minded Senior Finance Manager at a pivotal point in its growth journey. This is a rare opportunity to step into a broad, hands-on role with genuine exposure to senior leadership and a clearly defined pathway to Financial Controller / Finance Director.

You will take ownership of core reporting and control processes while also playing a lead role in driving the finance function's transformation agenda, including the adoption of automation and AI-enabled tools to modernise how the team operates.

This role suits a qualified accountant with a strong external audit background and initial in-house/industry experience, who is now ready to take the next significant step in their career within a firm that will invest in their development and give them real ownership from day one.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Control

  • Own the preparation of accurate, timely management accounts and statutory financial statements
  • Strengthen and maintain robust financial controls, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Manage the year-end audit process and act as a key point of contact for external auditors
  • Support technical accounting judgements and ensure appropriate documentation and governance

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
