Group Senior Finance Manager
Manchester
£85,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Forge Talent are proud to be partnering with a leading consumer-focused retail and e-commerce business to recruit a Group Senior Finance Manager.
This is a high-level opportunity to join a fast-paced, high-growth organisation where finance plays a central role in driving commercial performance and strategic decision-making.
A broad, high-visibility role spanning commercial finance, FP&A, reporting, planning and business partnering. You will sit at the within the Group and its operating businesses, bringing together everything commercial whilst turning financial insight into clear recommendations. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys pace, ownership and making things happen. If you are looking for a highly structured, layered corporate finance environment, this isn’t for you.
The Role
Acting as a key commercial finance partner to the businesses, working closely with senior commercial and finance stakeholders to ensure that the right decisions are being made. Alongside this, you will own FP&A activity, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis. You will provide senior leadership with an independent and evidence-based view of performance, helping translate priorities into action across the business.

The role will include:
Commercial Finance & Trade
- Act as a senior commercial finance partner to business leaders and divisional finance teams.
- Develop a clear Group-level view of trading performance, profitability and key commercial drivers.
- Lead regular trading reviews, challenging performance against targets and identifying actions to improve results.
- Own daily and intraday performance reporting, ensuring the financial impact of trading decisions is understood quickly.
Reporting, Control & Data
- Own the Group management accounts and wider performance reporting suite.
- Produce clear, commercially focused reporting for senior leadership and other key stakeholders.
- Lead monthly performance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year, providing insightful commentary and recommendations.
- Support the month-end process from a Group oversight and financial control perspective.
Planning, Forecasting & Cash
- Own the annual budgeting process and ongoing reforecasting activity.
- Develop and embed a rolling forecast across the Group.
- Maintain a holistic view of the P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.

Group, Board & Strategy
- Prepare and contribute to board and senior management reporting.
- Support investor, lender and external stakeholder reporting where required.
- Help communicate the Group's financial performance, outlook and strategic priorities.
About You
We are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong experience across both commercial finance and FP&A.
You will ideally have experience in retail, e-commerce, consumer or another fast-moving commercial environment
You will bring:
- Strong technical grounding in management accounts, financial control, budgeting and forecasting.
- Excellent financial modelling and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to connect operational performance with financial outcomes.
- Experience turning complex data into clear insight, recommendations and actions.
- The confidence to challenge senior stakeholders constructively and influence decisions.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of financial accuracy.
