The Opportunity:
As Senior Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls and efficient processes across the business.
Working closely with the founders and senior leadership team, you will be responsible for producing reliable financial information, delivering timely management reporting and supporting operational decision-making. Whilst there will be opportunities to contribute commercially as the business continues to grow, the immediate priority is ensuring the finance function operates efficiently and effectively.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ambitious Finance Manager or Financial Controller who enjoys working within a fast-paced SME and wants to make a genuine impact within a growing business.

We combine world-class fitness, recovery, nutrition and community experiences into beautifully designed spaces, currently operating flagship sites in Notting Hill and two studios in Paris, with further international expansion actively underway.
This is a hands-on opportunity to join a fast-growing founder-led business where finance plays a key role in supporting operational excellence. We're looking for someone who enjoys being close to the detail, building robust financial processes and creating a finance function that enables the business to scale with confidence.
The Basics:
- Salary: £70-£75k
- Location: Notting Hill
- Hours: Full-time, hybrid (3 days in office)
The Role:
Operational Finance:
- Take ownership of the day-to-day finance function across the business
- Oversee purchase ledger, sales ledger, bank reconciliations and general ledger activities
- Ensure robust daily, weekly and monthly finance processes are maintained across the business
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure the integrity of financial data
- Monitor working capital and cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity across the business
- Own month-end reporting and ensure all routine finance activities are completed accurately and on time

Financial Reporting + Management Accounts:
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, including profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow reporting
- Own the month-end process, ensuring reporting deadlines are consistently achieved
- Prepare monthly board reporting packs with clear commentary on financial performance
- Produce budgets, forecasts and cash flow forecasts to support business planning
- Monitor business performance against budget, highlighting key variances and trends
- Support year-end audit preparation and statutory reporting requirements
Payroll, Tax + Compliance:
- Manage end-to-end UK payroll and associated compliance (P11D, PSA and pension auto-enrolment)
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and support corporation tax and year-end statutory accounts
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial, tax and regulatory requirements
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors and advisers where required
- Support finance requirements for the group's international entities as the business expands
Systems + Process Improvement:
- Continually improve finance processes to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve reporting
- Maintain and optimise accounting systems and finance technology
- Support implementation of improved financial controls, reporting frameworks and operational procedures
The Person:
Qualifications + Experience:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a Finance Manager, Senior Management Accountant, Financial Accountant or similar hands-on finance role
- Strong experience preparing management accounts and owning month-end reporting
- Confident managing day-to-day finance operations within an SME or founder-led business
- Experience producing budgets, forecasts and cash flow reporting
- Good understanding of UK payroll, VAT and statutory compliance
- Previous experience within hospitality, leisure, fitness, wellness, retail or another multi-site consumer business would be advantageous

Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of management accounting and financial reporting
- Experience using cloud-based accounting systems such as Xero (or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills, including forecasting and financial analysis
- Comfortable producing meaningful financial reports and KPI reporting
- Strong understanding of financial controls and finance processes
Personal Attributes:
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving business
- Hands-on and willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done
- Proactive, self-motivated and able to work independently
- Strong communicator who can build positive relationships across the business
- Comfortable managing both routine transactional work and month-end reporting
