LSL Property Services plc is one of the UK’s leading providers of services to the property industry, bringing together a range of businesses and expertise across the residential surveying, estate agency and financial services markets. We are bringing together finance activities from across the Group into a central Finance Hub in Newcastle, creating more consistent ways of working and strengthening our finance operations. As part of this centralisation, we're looking for an experienced and commercially minded Senior Finance Manager to play a pivotal role across both Financial Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).

This is a high-impact role where you'll provide strong financial leadership, ensure robust financial control and reporting, partner with senior stakeholders, and deliver insightful analysis that helps drive business performance and strategic decision-making.

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne - hybrid role

Main Accountability

Financial Control & Reporting

  • Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Oversee divisional management accounts, balance sheet integrity, reconciliations and key accounting adjustments.
  • Ensure strong financial controls are maintained across all finance processes.
  • Partner with Divisional Finance Directors to provide financial insight and support performance management.
  • Deliver clear variance analysis and meaningful commentary on financial results.

FP&A, Analysis & Commercial Insight

  • Produce high-quality performance reporting, analysis and business insights.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning activities.
  • Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support strategic decision making.
  • Identify trends, risks and opportunities across the business.
  • Build compelling management presentations, business cases and investment appraisals.

Audit, Governance & Compliance

  • Support statutory reporting requirements and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, including RCSA controls.
  • Review and strengthen finance processes, controls and documentation.
  • Support tax, regulatory and wider financial compliance activities.

Leadership & Business Partnering

  • Provide guidance, coaching and oversight to finance team members.
  • Build strong relationships with Finance Directors and operational stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, translating complex financial data into practical business recommendations.
  • Drive continuous improvement across reporting, controls, systems and processes.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Significant experience in a senior finance, FP&A, commercial finance or financial control role.
  • Strong understanding of management accounting, financial reporting and financial controls.
  • Experience leading month-end close and delivering accurate financial results.
  • Advanced financial modelling, forecasting and scenario planning skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering capabilities.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and communicate financial insight.
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems experience.

Desirable

  • Experience in a regulated, multi-entity or group environment.
  • Knowledge of RCSA frameworks and governance controls.
  • Experience supporting Finance Directors or senior leadership teams.
  • Exposure to finance transformation, ERP implementations or systems enhancements.
  • Familiarity with Sun Financials, Proactis or FP&A tools.
