Job Title: Senior Finance Manager

Equifind have partnered with a growing and successful renewable energy and infrastructure company who are seeking to hire a qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) Senior Finance Manager to report into the FD. The company services a huge renewables and infrastructure fund in London Bridge. They are in the office 3 days a week and work autonomously and with trust from the senior management.

Job Description

  • A senior manager role, supervising junior staff and dealing with clients for various assets and reporting to their boards.

Stakeholder Management

  • Responsible for overall service delivery by the team
  • Act as the senior escalation point for portfolio clients

Management Accounting

  • Oversee the use of management accounting systems, processes and controls
  • Review and ownership of management accounts reports for each client
  • Accountability for team’s KPIs, including timing of information to clients and provision of periodic reporting
  • Identifying and recommending areas for improvement in reporting

Financial Accounting

  • Oversee the preparation and submission of annual statutory accounts
  • Ownership of each group’s financial model, including periodic updates, forecasting and shareholder return optimisations
  • Monitoring the annual audit process for each company / group within the portfolio
  • Liaising with tax advisors in the preparation of corporation tax computations

Reporting

  • Overall responsibility for delivery of financial performance to shareholders within portfolio, including at periodic Board meetings
  • Tracking and complying with contractual deliverables as dictated by relevant financing and third-party documents
  • Internal reporting to the Associate Director in collaboration with other Senior Finance Managers

Company Secretarial

  • Appointment as Company Secretary for all companies within portfolio
  • Oversee application of company secretarial duties for each company within portfolio

Requirements

  • The new Accountant ideally will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
  • A minimum of 4-5 years PQE experience, ideally in industry but candidates from within audit firms also will be considered
  • Strong Excel skills essential
  • Very strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • A high level of determination, willingness and flexibility to deliver to a high standard against tight deadline
  • Be able to present financial data to a high standard in a clear and concise format
  • Collaborates across the organisation by communicating regularly and consistently to peers
