Senior Finance Manager

London - Hybrid (2 days on site)

£75-80k + benefits

We Do Group is supporting a fast-growing, technology-led organisation to recruit a Senior Finance Manager into its expanding finance function.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a business that has experienced significant growth and is continuing to invest in both its people and finance infrastructure.

We're looking for an experienced Financial Control or Record to Report leader who enjoys improving processes, developing high-performing teams, and delivering best-in-class financial reporting within a fast-paced environment.

This position reports directly to the Group Financial Controller and will play a key role in shaping the future of the accounting function as the business continues to scale.

Wish List

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS or UK GAAP
  • Previous experience leading a Record to Report, Financial Control, or Financial Reporting function
  • Experience managing and developing finance teams
  • Strong month-end, balance sheet, and financial reporting expertise
  • Proven experience improving financial controls and finance processes
  • Confident working with ERP systems and large data sets
  • A continuous improvement mindset with experience driving automation and process enhancement

The Role

The successful Senior Finance Manager will lead the following:

  • Owning the end-to-end month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, delivering meaningful analysis and commentary to senior stakeholders
  • Maintaining robust balance sheet controls, reconciliations, and governance across the finance function
  • Leading the Record to Report process, developing capability, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement
  • Driving improvements to financial controls, ensuring audit readiness, and compliance with internal policies and accounting standards
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline, standardise, and automate finance processes
  • Supporting ERP enhancements, finance transformation initiatives, and wider systems projects
  • Working closely with senior finance and operational stakeholders to improve reporting quality and business insight
  • Supporting internal and external audit processes and acting as the key finance contact throughout
  • Helping build a scalable, AI and automation optimised, finance function capable of supporting continued business growth

Your Profile

We are looking for a technically strong finance leader who enjoys combining operational excellence with continuous improvement.

You'll be someone who naturally takes ownership, enjoys challenging existing processes, and has the ability to build credibility with stakeholders across the business.

The successful candidate will combine excellent attention to detail with strong leadership skills, taking pride in developing people while delivering high-quality financial reporting in a fast-moving environment.

Experience within a corporate environment operating best practice and blue chip standards would be advantageous, as would exposure to growing mid size businesses.

Salary & Benefits

£75-80k + healthcare, pension, and a comprehensive benefits package.

This hybrid role requires 1-2 days per week in the central London office.
