About the company

A market leading business based in the Newry area are seeking to appoint a Senior Finance Manager to take responsibility for day-to-day oversight of their finance function, managing an established team and reporting to the CFO. With this business going from strength to strength, this represents an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded and ambitious finance professional not afraid to get their sleeves rolled up, seeking a long-term opportunity with scope for further progression.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the finance function within a fast-paced environment
  • Produce monthly management accounts, reporting packs and commercial analysis
  • Deliver insight across margins, labour, waste, yield and operational performance
  • Review weekly and monthly P&L performance, identifying risks and opportunities
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and balance sheet management
  • Partner with operational teams to support performance and profitability
  • Prepare financial analysis for capital investment projects
  • Drive improvements across reporting, systems, controls and processes
  • Ensure compliance with group reporting and audit requirements
  • Lead and develop the finance team while supporting wider business growth
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required

Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
