Senior Finance Manager

Location: London Heathrow
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £80,000 - £85,000 + 10% bonus

We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager to lead our transactional finance, billings, and treasury operations at our Heathrow offices. This role offers the opportunity to manage critical financial functions and lead a team of 13, ensuring the financial integrity and operational efficiency of our high-volume transactions.

Day-to-day of the Role

  • Lead and develop a team across credit control, accounts payable, treasury, and billing, setting clear objectives, managing performance, and building team capabilities.
  • Manage the end-to-end billing cycle to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness across a high-volume, contract-driven revenue base.
  • Drive credit control performance including DSO, aged debt, collections strategy, dispute resolution, and escalation with commercial and operational stakeholders.
  • Oversee the accounts payable function, including supplier relationships, payment runs, controls, and cost accuracy.
  • Manage treasury operations including cash flow forecasting, daily cash management, bank payments, banking relationships, and FX management.
  • Deliver robust short- and medium-term cash flow forecasts to the Finance Director and Group, with clear commentary on drivers and risks.
  • Strengthen the control environment through process documentation, segregation of duties, reconciliations, and audit readiness.
  • Support the implementation and embedding of Microsoft Dynamics, including process design, data migration, testing, and post-go-live stabilisation.
  • Use data to identify root causes, eliminate rework, and drive measurable improvement in working capital and process efficiency.
  • Partner with operations, commercial, and shared service teams to resolve issues at source.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Qualified chartered accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with a strong post-qualified track record.
  • Proven experience managing sizeable teams and developing talent.
  • Substantial experience in a high-volume, transaction-heavy environment (aviation, logistics, transport, retail, FMCG, or similar).
  • Strong technical grounding across billing, credit control, AP, and treasury, including cash flow forecasting and payment execution.
  • Advanced data manipulation skills (Excel to a high standard; Power BI, SQL, or similar an advantage).
  • Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and non-finance colleagues.
  • Able to commit to a fully office-based working pattern at London Heathrow.
