Senior Finance Officer

A growing, technology-enabled logistics business with international operations is looking for an experienced Senior Finance Officer at its Northamptonshire site. This is a hands-on role at the heart of our head office function, with real opportunity to support the Finance team, and develop within a growing company.

About the Role

This role has arisen due to the implementation of a global finance platform that facilitates the in-house transfer of non-UK financial operations (Poland and Holland). This will enable the successful applicant to build the internal reporting for these operations from the ground up, whilst ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately. The reporting required for these operations will be developed over time; however, at a minimum, it will cover cash flow forecasting and analysis of suppliers' and customers' activity. Currently, this role would oversee 1 member of staff; however, this will increase as our operations expand globally.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.

Billing and Revenue Management

  • Oversee client invoicing based on contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and volume metrics.
  • Ensure timely and accurate billing for warehousing, transportation, and value-added services.
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies with internal teams and clients.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
