Permanent role - £45-48K per annum - 5 days in office

We have partnered with an established fintech business who are looking for an experienced finance professional to join their small finance team and support across the function. The role will effectively act as an Assistant Financial Controller, providing support to the current FC.

You will take ownership of daily transactional processing, multi-currency reconciliations, and group entity accounting. This is an operational, "hands-on" position suited to someone who enjoys the core daily routine, running the ledgers accurately, and ensuring full operational continuity across group accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain sales and purchase ledgers, invoice processing, and cash allocations.
  • Manage multi-currency cashbooks, conduct bank reconciliations, and handle intercompany sales and cross-recharges across global entities (UK, US, Asia).
  • Prepare monthly management accounts files and schedules for executive leadership, covering overseas subsidiaries.
  • Process accruals, prepayments, maintain the fixed asset register, and assist with year-end P&L and Balance Sheet preparations.
  • Support VAT return filings, statutory accounts preparation, and maintain schedules for Corporation Tax.
  • Build a comprehensive understanding of the finance function to independently manage core daily operations and payments during FC leave periods.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
