Are you an analytical finance professional with a passion for financial control, treasury operations, and continuous improvement?
We’re looking for a Senior Finance Operations Specialist to join our Finance team in Cardiff/Redhill. In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering treasury and reconciliation activities, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate cash management, and the smooth running of critical finance operations. You'll work across multiple stakeholders, helping to improve processes, manage risk, and support business performance.
What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Finance Operations Specialist, you’ll take ownership of key finance operations activities and be responsible for:
- Managing complex reconciliations across Finance Operations, ensuring issues are identified, investigated, and resolved within agreed timescales.
- Maintaining commission, debit back, manufacturer funding, accounts receivable, balance sheet, and bank reconciliations with a high level of accuracy.
- Supporting treasury activities including cash management, banking operations, payment processing, and funding movements.
- Monitoring cash positions and banking activity, escalating any unusual transactions or risks as appropriate.
- Developing reporting, dashboards, and management information to improve visibility and decision-making.
- Driving process improvements, automation opportunities, and system enhancements across Finance Operations.
- Maintaining strong controls, governance, and audit readiness across treasury and reconciliation activities.
- Supporting internal and external audits by providing documentation, evidence, and subject matter expertise.
- Acting as a technical expert and escalation point for complex treasury, banking, and reconciliation matters.
- Building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the wider business.

Who we’re looking for
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced finance environment and enjoys solving complex challenges.
You’ll need:
- Part-qualified accountant status or equivalent experience in a similar role.
- Experience within Finance Operations, Treasury, Reconciliations, Accounts Receivable, or a similar finance function.
- Strong experience managing complex reconciliations and financial controls.
- Knowledge of treasury operations, banking platforms, payment processing, and cash management.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, Power Query, and automation tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and process optimisation.
- An understanding of financial risk, governance, controls, and audit requirements.
