Senior Financial Accountant

London | Hybrid | 12-month FTC

Are you a qualified accountant looking for a role that goes beyond traditional financial reporting? We’re working with a high-growth consumer and e-commerce business looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join its Financial Control team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA-qualified accountant who wants to take ownership of key areas of the P&L and balance sheet while developing strong commercial and business partnering experience.

You’ll be joining a collaborative Finance function where Financial Control works closely with FP&A, Commercial and wider business teams. It’s a role for someone who enjoys being hands-on, challenging existing processes and having genuine visibility of the impact their work has on the wider business.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own key areas of the P&L and balance sheet, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Take ownership of month-end close activities and financial reporting.
  • Produce management reporting and analysis to support business performance.
  • Partner closely with FP&A and senior stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Analyse budgets, costs and financial performance, providing meaningful commercial insight.
  • Maintain a strong financial control environment and support audit activity.
  • Review and improve existing processes, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency.
  • Work closely with data teams to improve reporting, systems and financial information.
  • Contribute to projects and initiatives that improve how Finance supports the wider business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Why this role?

This isn't a role where you'll simply complete the month-end and wait for the next one.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Take ownership – manage meaningful areas of the financial statements and become a trusted Finance contact.
  • Build commercial experience – work closely with FP&A and business stakeholders, giving you exposure beyond traditional Financial Control.
  • Influence change – challenge existing processes and help improve how Finance operates.
  • Work in a fast-moving environment – ideal for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility and solving problems.
  • Develop your career – gain broader commercial exposure and build the skills needed for your next step in Finance.

The team is looking for someone who is proactive, ambitious and genuinely excited by a challenge. If you're looking for a role where you can make an impact rather than simply maintain the status quo, this could be a great next move!
