The Opportunity

Interested in working for a scaling fintech business lending operation?

Senior Financial Accountant required reporting to the Head of Finance. This is a chance to add real value, take ownership and accountability in a fun yet professional workplace.

The Role

  • Taking ownership of the daily running of the finance department from overseeing the outsourced bookkeeping activities to month end, year end and external audit support.
  • Ownership of the monthly management accounts process including journal postings and BS recs through to TB
  • Assisting with preparation of consolidated accounts
  • Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
  • Supporting the year end accounting process with the auditors including consolidations and disclosures
  • External audit management
  • Monthly and quarterly interest, facility fee and commission calculations
  • End to end ownership of the loan book and cash recs
  • Supporting the streamlining and documentation of finance processes and identifying ways to further automate reporting

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with experience within management and financial accounting
  • Experience working within financial services ideally an alternative lending type business, banking or other types of fintech
  • Any experience of loan operations (interest calculations, debt holder payments, loan recs etc) an advantage
  • Comfortable working within a fast paced start-up environment, happy being hands on and in the detail
