Senior Financial Accountant
£65,000 – £70,000 + Benefits | London | Hybrid – 3 days per week in the office
We’re recruiting a Senior Financial Accountant for a growing, international, PE-backed business. This is a broad finance role for someone who likes being close to the numbers and close to the business.
Financial accounting will remain at the heart of the position, but this isn’t a role where you’ll spend your entire month focused on statutory reporting and compliance. You’ll also get involved in management accounting, analysis, reporting and improving how finance operates.
The business is growing quickly, which means priorities change, new challenges appear and there is always something that could work better. They want someone who enjoys that environment.

You’ll work closely with the Group Financial Controller and wider finance team, taking responsibility for areas including:
- Financial accounting, reporting and month-end close
- Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts
- Group consolidations and balance sheet reporting
- Variance analysis and investigating performance against expectations
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and wider financial analysis
- Statutory accounts, audit and year-end requirements
- UK GAAP and technical accounting matters
- Tax, VAT and international compliance
- Improving controls, reporting and finance processes
- Supporting wider finance projects as the business continues to grow
Who are we looking for?
You’ll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with a strong grounding in financial accounting and reporting.

Ideally, you’ll have worked in an SME or medium-sized business where you've had to be versatile. We want someone comfortable producing accurate financial information, but also curious enough to dig into the numbers and understand what they are telling you.
You’ll need to be hands-on, organised and comfortable working at pace. This is the sort of environment where people who spot a problem, suggest a solution and then actually help implement it tend to do very well.
