This role involves preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in the insurance sector. The Statutory Accountant will play a key part in supporting the Accounting & Finance department in Preston.

Description
- Prepare and review statutory financial statements in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements specific to the insurance industry.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather and validate financial data for reporting purposes.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and liaise with external auditors.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support and guidance on financial reporting matters to the Accounting & Finance department.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare supporting documentation and schedules for statutory filings.

Profile
A Successful Statutory Accountant Should Have
- Professional accounting qualifications, such as ACA, ACCA, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in statutory financial reporting and compliance.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements within the insurance industry.
- Strong technical accounting skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within the Accounting & Finance team.
- Proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools.
